now, 2 doors down there is a library.
this book pictured here was a november new release written by a guy who apparently lives in the suburb next to the young awesome people one which is also full of young awesome though perhaps slightly less affluent people. it''s been very popular and before Xmas we had trouble keeping it in stock [as did the distributor]. we now have a decent sized pile of it on our new releases table, even though its not that new anymore. it is still selling nicely.

the library 2 doors down has NOT 1, NOT 20, NOT even 50 BUT 90 RESERVATIONS FOR THIS BOOK.
holy. shit. i just had a conversation with the customer who told me this about if you were the person who got told yes we can reserve it, but there are 89 people before you, why would you say yes? the mind boggles.
* outer inner [suburbs], adj; used to describe a suburb of melbourne which does not itself have trams, but is next to a suburb that does.

Does this mean that the 90th person gets to read it in like what, 2 years time? Provided that it doesn't get nicked in the interim.
People, I don't just don't understand them sometimes.
